Australian Grain Treatments Pty Ltd (AGT) is the longest established and most respected Australian fumigator specialising in "in-transit" fumigations of grain and timber cargoes onboard ocean going vessels.
AGT has been undertaking this specialist business from all commercial ports in Australia since 2002. The most common cargo fumigant used is Phosphine (Hydrogen Phosphide). It is recognised internationally as the safest disinfectant against insects, mites and rodents. Phosphine is generated out of tablets, bags, strips, plates, sleeves or blankets.
AGT is also fully authorised to undertake methyl bromide fumigations where required and general insect fumigations onboard ocean going vessels prior to loading grain cargoes.
AGT is licensed to carry out in-transit fumigations by state Government Health Departments throughout Australia and the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority. Our staff are also individually licensed to carry out such fumigations. All AGT staff undertake a vigorous training regime as well as ongoing audits.
